    Island Girl Power Focus on Life Carnival & Open House

    Welcome students! Come and join us for the Island Girl Power Annual Focus on Life Carnival and Open House. This event features wonderful life-affirming activities such as live music, games, and empowerment activities so that youth will feel supported. Volunteer to help and learn how you can make a difference in your community.

    Disaster Relief - Typhoon Mangkhut

    To aid in disaster relief, such as Typhoon Mangkhut that hit Guam and Rota in September 2018, students can earn service learning hours by collecting needed supplies and items needed by victims.

    Broken Crayon Project 2019

    Come help us with our annual Broken Crayon Project! Every year, we put out a call to teachers, students, and families at the end of the school year to donate their used school supplies to this project. Because of our mission to serve the far-flung islands of Micronesia, we are able to send these school supplies to communities that need them. We will need your help to collect, box, and prepare these donations for shipping.

    Basketball Clinic in the Park

    A basketball court is located in formerly abandoned parks that Island Girl Power has adopted. You can serve your community by teaching younger children the skills and rules of the game. At the same time, you are making use of this park in a positive way to promote a healthy lifestyle.

    Hal's Angels Field Beautification

    If you are a supporter of Hal's Angels Football, then you have an opportunity for service learning. The football field needs constant maintenance!

    ProStart Cooking and Nutrition Classes at Island Girl Power

    If you are a ProStart student at any of the the designated high schools, you have an opportunity to earn service learning hours by applying the skills you are acquiring in this program. You will teach a cooking and nutrition class at the Island Girl Power Clubhouse.

    Be a Hero at Hero Con 2018

    Great Opportunity to earn 10 service learning hours! Work with industry marketing members in a promotional event that caters to young and old - HEROCON.  Interested students can sign up through Guam Service Learning.  Act Now! Limit of 25 students taking part in an extraordinary event of colorful art and fashion scene, with quirky vintage clothing, exhibitions  and cosplay  within Agana Shopping Center.  Be part of a working TEAM.     Shorty’s LAND/SEA Clean up

    We will be hosting a beach and reef cleanup in Alupang Bay on Saturday, September 1, sponsored by local coffee shops, workspaces, and paddleboard organizations to showcase our brand’s first product.

    2018 LIFE (Live*Imagine*Fulfill*Experience) Teen Expo

    2018 LIVE-IMAGINE-FULFILL-EXPERIENCE (L.I.F.E.) Teen Expo is open to ALL Teens! Check out the highly-interactive activities, learning and FUN! Earn Service learning hours by being part of the planning committee, or by attending and actively participating, and sharing what you learned with your peers.  You can also assist with clean up efforts after the event to earn service learning hours.
