    “Press Play! Con: It’s Never Game Over”

    Press Play! Con” provides a youth-focused
    platform to reach hundreds of students and young adults through pop-culture, anime,
    and gaming. This project connects student learning with urgent community needs in
    mental health awareness and suicide prevention.

    The Guam Esports Federation (GESF) invites students to take part in the annual Fall Showdown at Guam Premier Outlets. This service learning project gives you the chance to join the tournament as a player and assist with volunteering in media promotion, and community engagement. By helping run the event, you will practice leadership, teamwork, and communication skills while promoting positive youth engagement in a growing community. Through esports, you’ll not only experience competition and collaboration but also contribute to building a safe and inclusive space for Guam’s students.

    You will be sharing your perspective and view on the material produced by Guam Behavioral Health & Wellness Center – Prevention & Training Branch (PEACE Office).

    Work with our team to learn to create and design prevention promotion material, which may be displayed or used by the PEACE Office.

    Peace Guam Research, create and design a community resource directory that provides local resources on youth substance use prevention, youth groups or activities, or mental health resources.

    We are looking  for high school students who would like to gain experience in an active and rewarding environment in our community gardens. Our Serve and Grow volunteers will receive hands-on opportunities that foster workplace skills, personal connections, and community service.

    3. Hafa Adai Orientation: For newcomers to Guam! Learn some helpful information that can help you transition to the life here on Guam.

    * NON-PROFITS- WHAT DO THEY DO?

    Ideal for individuals or small groups of students. Research work can be primarily online. Some organizations require a Photo release and presentation permission needed before process can begin. This project allows the student to work from home with limited transportation and printing needed.

    Sometimes all we need is a helping hand. Learn about what various non-profits do and share the information with as many people as you can.
