Preparation Instruction:
- *Research Micronesia and familiarize yourself with the maps of Micronesia.
*Base access forms will need to be filled out to gain entrance to Andersen AFB. These can be coordinated by reaching out to OCD on their Facebook page or email at: Christmasdroporganization@gmail.com.
*Students must be in good mental, emotional and social health and be able to function in a group setting in a positive and cooperative manner that displays tolerance and respect for themselves and others. Appropriate attire includes: a t-shirt, comfortable bottoms, socks, and closed-toe shoes. It is also recommended to bring a water bottle, and a bag to hold all personal items.
Activity Instruction:
Set up base access and coordinate schedule
Arrive on time and prepared
Students will participate in a variety of food and donated goods collection
sorting and inventory services
These services include sorting and packaging like materials, greeting and interacting with customers, assisting with donation efforts. In addition, messages and art may be drawn on the packages at times.
Reflection Instruction:
It is a humanitarian effort to help the neighboring islands by the drops providing sustainable goods such as fishing equipment, food, rice, coolers, water filtration, scuba equipment, etc. to those that do not have easy access.
Each students’ volunteer reflection should answer 5 or more of the following questions:

Learning Standards/Objectives:
Humanitarian efforts and partnering with multiple nations for a humanitarian lift. Objectives to meet include but are not limited to organizational assistance, public speaking, social interactions, and many more. Children will learn to work in an environment cohesive with collaborative efforts of all ages.
