GESF Fall Showdown Esports Service Learning

GESF Fall Showdown Esports Service Learning

Guam, Esports, service learning

The Guam Esports Federation (GESF) invites students to take part in the annual Fall Showdown at Guam Premier Outlets. This service learning project gives you the chance to join the tournament as a player and assist with volunteering in media promotion, and community engagement. By helping run the event, you will practice leadership, teamwork, and communication skills while promoting positive youth engagement in a growing community. Through esports, you’ll not only experience competition and collaboration but also contribute to building a safe and inclusive space for Guam’s students.
Students will volunteer and participate in Guam’s largest Fall esports tournaments, supporting positive youth engagement and Guam’s growing gaming community.

Reflection Instruction:
Students are required to reflect on their service learning experience by addressing the following guiding questions:
- What did you do? (Describe your role and tasks during the Fall Showdown event.)
- What did you learn? (Explain new skills, knowledge, or insights gained from volunteering and participating.)
- How was this a service? (Identify how your role contributed to the community and supported the event’s success.)
- How do you think this project made a difference in improving life in your school or Guam’s community?
Students may complete this reflection in written form, multimedia (video, slideshow), or a group discussion, as long as it clearly demonstrates personal growth and connection to civic engagement.
