From April 19 to April 25, 2026, join the Guam Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence in celebrating National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. Throughout the week, we will host a wave and an engaging outreach event at Skinner’s Plaza.
This is your opportunity to learn, connect, and help raise awareness for crime victims’ rights while making a meaningful impact in the community. Whether you’re looking to volunteer or simply get involved, we welcome everyone to participate.
Don’t miss this chance to support an important cause, build connections, and have a great time!
Preparation Instruction:
To prepare for the National Crime Victims' Rights Week Event, please sign up by April 21, 2026. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes, as the event will take place outdoors. If you're helping with the outreach, be ready to engage with the community and share information about crime victims' rights. Feel free to bring any personal items you may need, like water or sunscreen. We’ll provide all necessary materials and instructions on the day of the event. Let’s come together to make a positive impact!
Activity Instruction:
The activity will involve participating in a wave event at different intersections on Guam and an interactive outreach session at Skinners Plaza. You’ll help raise awareness for National Crime Victims' Rights Week by engaging with the community, distributing informational materials, and answering questions about crime victims' rights. The goal is to inform, support, and encourage thers to get involved in advocating for crime victims. It’s a fun, handson way to make a difference and promote awareness while connecting with others in the community. If you volunteer, you an receive a free shirt!
Reflection Instruction:
After participating in the event, take some time to reflect on your experience. Think about how your involvement helped raise awareness for crime victims’ rights and what you learned about the impact of community engagement. Consider the challenges and rewards of working with others to support such an important cause. How did your actions contribute to the larger goal of advocating for crime victims? We’d love for you to share your thoughts on how this experience has shaped your perspective and deepened your understanding of the importance of supporting crime victims' rights.
