    Guam March to Protect Mother Earth

    Be a part of international movements to support science, combat climate change, ban plastics, and raise local awareness to protect our island’s resources. Minors must be accompanied by parents or a responsible adult.

    Sanctuary Incorporated of Guam will be hosting its 8th Annual Youth Festival on Saturday April 28, 2018 at the Guam Museum/ Skinner Plaza in Hagatna from 10:00 am – 4: 00 pm.  This year's theme entitled #manhobenSTRONG will showcase a variety of talents from a diverse group of island youth. Learn how to lead a "strong" healthy lifestyle and share this information with others to earn service learning hours.

    Ever wondered what it’s like to be a marine scientist? Learn about Guam’s coral reefs and how to survey while snorkeling at the beach.

    Learn about the invasive species problems affecting Guam and come up with an action plan of what you can do to help.

    Rain Gardens

    Build your own rain garden and help our environment too! As excess rain water washes over streets, parking lots and lawns, it can pick up and  carry many items and pollutants itno our rivers and oceans, leading to water pollution and unhealthy coral reefs. Rain gardens are important because they increase the amount of rain water that recharges to ground water, reducing flooding and erosion problems.

    Come join the Guam Head Start Program as we MOVE, LEARN and PLAY!  Help us promote health and wellness by encouraging exercise for children ages 2 to 10 years old.

    Keep Guam Beautiful, National Parks

    Join us in our Keep Guam Beautiful campaign to maintain and restore the National Park lands. Habitat Restoration Projects involve the community in assisting to maintain their public lands.  These activities help to educate the community about the efforts that the National Park Service makes to maintain park public lands for the immediate enjoyment of the public and to preserve our public lands for future generations' enjoyment.  Our hope is that the community will be inspired to become stewards of their public lands and local environment so they will cultivate an appreciation and as a result protect them.

    Keep Guam Beautiful, Ritidian Monthly Beach Cleanup

    Keep Guam Beautiful is a community-oriented cleanup campaign conducted by the National Park Service, in partnership with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service conducts cleanups at Ritidian Refuge on the first Saturday of every month and the National Park Service conducts cleanups the second Saturday of every month at varying locations.

    Get Out the Vote

    Voter turnout is not where it should be. Help to get more people to the polls by planning and implementing a Get Out the Vote campaign. Share information about the importance of voting and how to register.

    Be a Hero at Hero Con

    If you know what Cosplay is, you may be interested in this service learning opportunity. Help out at the Hero Con (Convention) as a staff member. You will Cosplay (Costume Play), dress up as your favorite character, role play this character, help in the running of the event, and provide visual examples of heroes to the community, especially children.

    Libraries Need Love Too!

    Celebrate a great book from your childhood with young readers at your public library. Volunteer there. Create an event  that supports the children’s section of your public library. For example support an annual Dr. Seuss celebration for the kids in the village at the local library. OR create an event that honors Pippi Longstocking or Harry Potter or....

    Help senior citizens learn how to communicate on a computer or a mobile phone to reduce their loneliness and enrich the quality of their lives.

    Ayuda Foundation Research Assistance

    Humanitarian non-profit organization needs research on a variety of projects on Guam and throughout Micronesia for grant funding proposals. Make a difference and support research on grants that improve the quality of life for Pacific Islanders.

    Thrift Store Volunteers

    One person's trash is another person's treasure! This is the fun of a thrift store and you can be a part of it. Learn the value or recycling and reducing trash that is sent to the landfill. There is so much to do here, and so much to learn!
