Adopt A Wall - Park Beautification

Island Girl Power in Dededo has adopted nearby neighborhood parks in Kaiser Dededo to restore and maintain. There are large walls that are available for painting of murals. This project is an opportunity for students to plan a mural, to raise funds for it, and to paint it. Doing this will help provide the neighborhood with a positive environment in which to play and relax.

    Rain Gardens

Build your own rain garden and help our environment too! As excess rain water washes over streets, parking lots and lawns, it can pick up and  carry many items and pollutants itno our rivers and oceans, leading to water pollution and unhealthy coral reefs. Rain gardens are important because they increase the amount of rain water that recharges to ground water, reducing flooding and erosion problems.
