IGP has a partnership with ProStart to enhance the skills of students in ProStart in a real-life situation in the community. By participating in this project, you will also give young IGP members a positive role model and a connection to higher education through the GCC Culinary Arts program.
ProStart is a nationally recognized program developed by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF). It is based on the study of food preparation, customer service, and food service management. The program design prepares students for careers in food service and the restaurant industry. It develops students workplace "soft skills" that employers looks for in a food service employee.
