    In celebration of Family Violence Prevention Month - October 

    There is a calendar of events throughout the whole month. This WAVE brings the events together and allows the youth to come and join our efforts. 

    Youth groups can make signs on the themes below

    To bring awareness of Family Violence on Guam

    To allow youth to become engaged and express their voices 

    To have youth interact directly with service providers in the community

    Guam DOE Health Education Standard

    Standard 8: Health Advocacy
    Demonstrate the ability to advocate for personal, family, and community health.
    Work cooperatively as an advocate for improving personal, family, and community health.


    Sign up for this project online

    Make signs / Wear Purple ALL MONTH

    Come early to the wave 4-6pm 

    Sign in and out with Father Mike Crisostomo or other Coalition members. 

    In order to earn service learning hours, you must turn in a reflection to one of your teachers. The reflection must address: What did you do? What did you learn? How did this activity show that you were an advocate for community health? 

    Additional work make a powerpoint or video about the WAVE and post to social media





    Event is outdoors, bring water. 

    Youth must practice safety when near the road.

    Youth must arrange their own transportation.
