  • Description

    Event preparation is a month long however, these are the volunteer duties and schedule for the event day

     

    9-10pm - Decorate and set up carnival booths

    10-12pm - assign volunteers to each game booth

    12-6pm - CARNIVAL TIME / Help with carnival encourage families to play games and learn more about island girl power

    Event preparation is a month long however, these are the volunteer duties and schedule for the event day

     

    9-10pm - Decorate and set up carnival booths

    10-12pm - assign volunteers to each game booth

    12-6pm - CARNIVAL TIME / Help with carnival encourage families to play games and learn more about island girl power; distribute Purple and Teal Ribbons to all carnival attendees to raise awareness of Suicide on Island and for them to be part of the solution by encouraging peers to Break the Silence : Tell Your Story writing corner with a dry erase board.

    In order to earn Service learning hours, students must turn in a reflection to a teacher showing how by participating in this project, they advocated for Suicide Prevention, how they practiced positive character traits, such as listed in the standard. Why was this project a public service? This can be shown in captioned photos, an essay, or any other that addresses the learning and service.
