Island Girl Power In partnership with Airman's Leadership School we offer this opportunity to GDOE High school students to participate in this wonderful service project.
We adopted this park in 2014. Each year we have worked to maintain and add to the uses for the park.
It is our hope that neighborhood families and their children will use the parks on a regular basis and also help to maintain it for their children.
To help students to see a value in recycling used tires for playgrounds while increasing physical activity in neighborhood children to reduce risks of childhood non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, cancer, obesity, etc.
To inspire youth to rething overgrown green spaces and learn to plan and develop TAKE BACK THE PARKS projects in their neighborhoods.
