  • Description

Islandwide Beautification Day (IBD) will be held once every quarter in 2017. Our first IBD is on January 28, 2017. The island is split up into 7 districts and several areas in each district. Students can contact the POC to get information on where they can report to in the village they choose to participate in. All cleaning supplies will be provided. We encourage all participants to bring a bottle of water to last the day.

    Career Pathway/Field

Social Studies: AG 4.17: Explain the importane of thoughtful and effective participation in civic life, including ... performing public service.

Science as Inquiry : BI and PS 1/1/6: Demonstrate by actions in the school community caring and respect for the environment and living organisms.

All Area Leaders will brief participants as they arrive their respective locations. Participants will pick up trash along the roadside, separate aluminum cans, plastic bottles, and other trash. Area Leaders will give other instructions as needed.
