Girls will coordinate a fundraiser to assist with travel and expenses to get to the Phillipines. They will participate in a volleyball tournament to represent Guam.
Coach will allow some time for the girls to stop at a orphanage or homeless shelter for them to prevent clothing, books and shoe donations.
Girls will write in their reflection
When did the event take place?, Who did they help? What kind of help did they provide? Where did the avant happen?, Why did they want to participate in the project. and How did the experience make them feel?
To give youth a bigger prospective of poverty and not just what they see one Guam?
Students will work collaboratively, exercise communication skills, and think critically, as they address a real-world issue, in this case poverty in a third world country.
