Looking for volunteers to join us, especially middle and high school students - to pick up trash and other(s) along the shoreline area and inland water areas of the Inarajan Bay (across from Papa Niyok Store).
To clean up the beaches, coastal areas, or inland water areas as a means of protecting the island's waters and shores. To educate the people to keep our island clean and beautiful for the tourists and other people who visit our island.
What to wear:
Comfortable clothes (t-shirt, shorts, tennis shoes, hat (optional))
What to bring:
1. A pair of gloves
2. A bucket or trash bag
2. Students: Community Service Learning paper ( for the site leader to verify and sign that you joined.)
3. Your re-usable Bottled Water
Students will earn 1 hour for every hour of service action involved in the cleanup. They will earn their additional 6th hour upon completion of their reflection. Sample reflection questions: In what way was the Coastal Cleanup a service activity? What did you learn? (Example: what kinds of trash did you clean up? What damage does trash to do to the land and the ocean?) What message will you give to others about littering and pollution? Why should we care about littering?
Might be a bright sunny day, so you might want to wear some SUNSCREEN, or it might rain a few...
There might be Mosquitos or bugs flying around, so you might want to use some mosquito repellent.
JUST BE PREPARED!

Comments about the Project Location
The Inarajan Bay is located at the entrance of the village, where you will see the beautiful Historic Inalahan, also called Gef Pa'go Cultural Center. Across from the bay is the Inarajan Papa Niyok Store. We will be across Papa Niyok Store, where you can sign up to participate in the annual clean up event.
