  • Description

    Our Kurason Ysengsong Community Garden was first created on February 22, 2014. Today we have 34 plots of varying sizes. Through this project we plan to install another 10 plots, 10 wheelchair accessible Tire Grow Bags. 

    Students will be working alongside adults from Island Girl Power and possibly other organizations. 

    This project is partially sponsored by The United EcoSkies Grant and THE NCD Non-Communicable Disease Consortium.

    To teach students that there are several different kinds of gardens and simple ways they can be created

    To give students an opportunity help create something that will be used by many families throughout the years

    To show students how a community can come together to make positive change in the lives of others

    Instructions

    Register - Read project discription

    Sign up - Select a teach

    Get approved via Email by your teacher

    Call to get the new schedule- attend the tour

    Plan to stay from 9am for the tour, prepare to stay until 2pm - CLOCK IN FROM IGP (on your phone)

    Make sure to take picutes and video clips of you during the project

    CLOCK OUT at 2pm

    Go home create your REFLECTION Project - Upload it to the website (your teacher will receive it on their email)

    Come back to IGP for your APPRECIATION CERTIFICATE within one month of completion.
